The Intuos5 gets high marks for its fresh design and on-screen reminders. We just wish the multitouch gestures were smoother.

Wacom Intuos5 review: Wacom Intuos5

Wacom Intuos5

The redesigned ; fixes some drawbacks from the already-excellent previous version, plus adds multitouch operation to an already impressive bag of input tricks.

There's still no interface for sharing/migrating saved settings or allowing third parties to provide preconfigured application-specific settings. Also, the heads-up display trigger is a little too sensitive.

Though it doesn't add any new graphics-specific capabilities over its predecessor, the Wacom Intuos5 input tablet remains a must-have for digital brushworkers.

Review: Wacom Intuos5

Wacom refreshes its marquee Intuos line of input tablets, adding support for multitouch gestures.

Addition of multitouch support makes Wacom’s most popular input tablet even more capable. Ambidextrous design with the option to go wireless. New heads-up display on the ExpressKeys reminds you of your settings in an instant. All the settings and...

Touch features lack the accuracy and responsiveness of the input pen. Coated plastic surface doesn’t come close to the feel of glass. Smoothness of gesture-based input is inconsistent

Wacom Intuos5 touch Medium Tablet Review

Wacom has long been considered by many to be the go-to brand for PC tablets, and it's been for good reason. With its recently-launched Intuos5 touch, the company proved us wrong - our favorite tablet could in fact get better. With this latest release,...

Initially, I wasn't sure that the Intuos4 could be improved upon, but with the Intuos5 Wacom has once again proven me wrong. The board feels better, the express keys are improved, and the touch features are fantastic. There are some areas I feel it...

Wacom Intuos5

About 10 years ago I borrowed (stole) my sister's Intuos2 tablet and I've rarely used a mouse since. I almost can't work without my tablets. When I heard that Wacom was coming out with the Intuos5, I couldn't figure out how they were going to add...

Touch-enabled; programmable; wireless capable

I’m a strong proponent of using tools that will make you more efficient and excellent in your work. I believe this so strongly that besides my camera and computer, my Wacom products are indispensible. So if you’re serious about your work and time, take...

Touch support ; Build quality ; Wireless kit

Pen can get stuck between writing surface and bezel ; Some multi-touch gestures don't work properly ; Touch wheel still small and inaccurate

Wacom Intuos 5 Touch Medium Review

The latest touch tablet to be added to the Wacom lineup

Quick to setup, ambidextrous design, touch sensitive

No visual display, high price

As tablets go, this is as good as it gets and if you're looking for the ultimate cursor control when you're editing, you won't be left disappointed.

Wacom Intuos5 Touch

The Intuos' design has been subtly rethought and polished in a delightfully sleek way. The entire bezel of the tablet is coated in a matte grey rubber. The smooth plastic of the drawing area has received an extra few centimetres of buffer, for those...

Touch and pen interface; ExpressKeys HUD is useful and unintrusive; all tablet sizes feature wireless option; new design

No Bluetooth model

The Intuos5 feels like Wacom’s first major attempt to recreate the experience of working with canvas. It’s possible to gesture when necessary, draw when not and work more gracefully without keyboards and extra accessories. We can’t wait to see how...
