Motorola Droid Xyboard 10.1 (Verizon Wireless)

The Motorola Droid Xyboard 10.1 is a handsome Android tablet, but doesn't provide standout features to justify its high price.

Integrated LTE. Good looking.

Very expensive for what you get. No memory card slot. Poor Mac compatibility. Verizon's app store is awful.

For some reason, Motorola includes a stylus with the Xyboard. There's a little icon in the status bar to pop up Evernote or a Motorola-designed notepad app on command, but I found these apps too sluggish to be usable.

Verizon Droid Xyboard 8.2 and 10.1 review

Xyboard. It's a portmanteau that could mean a number of things: a skateboarding robot, a xylophone mashed up with a keyboard, maybe even a science fiction novel about a xenophobic cyborg named...

Thin, light, durable hardware ; Bright, crisp IPS display ; 10.1-inch version comes with a stylus ; Very fast LTE speeds ; Good camera for a tablet

No storage expansion ; Terrible volume, power button location ; Too expensive ; Basically requires a two-year contract

Verizon needs to think long and hard about its tablet pricing strategy

Motorola DROID XYBOARD 10.1 Review

When it comes to tablet warfare, Motorola seemed to get out in the open with a weapon of mass excellence with the XOOM pretty early, it being the first to run Android 3.0 Honeycomb, the first Android made specifically for the tablet form factor - now...

The question that’ll be popping up on most XOOM owners minds at one point or another now is this: should I upgrade? With a tablet that’s got such a similar processor and a display that’s not especially improved over the original XOOM, it’s essentially...

Motorola DROID XYBOARD 10.1 Review

Last month Verizon released two new Motorola tablets, both of which are the first to receive the “DROID” branding: the DROID XYBOARD 8.2 and DROID XYBOARD10.1. The first Motorola tablet that Verizon released which ran on the Android Honeycomb operating...

Motorola DROID XYBOARD 10.1 Review

The Motorola DROID XYBOARD, known outside the world of baffling product marketing as the XOOM 2, has a lot riding on it. When the XOOM debuted on Verizon back in February, it was the only game in town as far as Honeycomb tablets were concerned. Now...

I was surprised at just how solid the hardware and software of the DROID XYBOARD 10.1 turned out to be. But for the lackluster battery life, it’s a worthy successor to the first Honeycomb device. But the simple fact is that it’s too expensive to...

Motorola Lapdock 100 with 10.1-inch screen

A laptop docking system is quite helpful if your smartphone has too much information to handle. That's just what the Motorola Lapdock 100 is all about. Its compatibility extends to leading phone models while it adds a fair share of specifications,...

Motorola Droid XYBoard 10.1 Review - Android Tablet Reviews by MobileTechReview

What a pleasant surprise the Motorola Droid XYBoard 10.1 is! I say that because the Motorola Xoom, the world's first Android tablet, traveled a hard road. At first it was the darling of the Android world because it was the first Android Honeycomb...

Slim, light, quality build. IPS display, 4G LTE, AV remote, dual digitizer with pen included

Expensive

I'll be honest here: I don't understand the hate some reviewers have heaped on Moto's second gen Android tablet. It does a very good job of addressing complaints with their first gen Xoom: it's as thin and light as the most anorexic and popular tablets...

"I hate iStuff, but iWish iHad and iPad instead"

B4 I even left the store they had to replace the 1st one (didn't know) the next 4 didn't last more than 2wks I would rather just use my computer :-(

it is a tablet

USB connection is fragile. Unreliable on every level. Does not cooperate with most 'universal' apps, etc..
