The Miele KDN 12823 S-1 is a smaller version of the Miele KFN 12924SD-1 fridge-freezer we reviewed in detail . The KDN 12823 S-1 is shorter, with a smaller freezer section, but is otherwise the same.

Fridge is not frost free

We wanted a frost free fridge freezer. Neither Which? or John Lewis made it clear that the fridge is not frost free. This product does work well at what it does, but I like frost free fridges and I do not like this.

It is very stylish but practical, looks really good and modern in the kitchen. The design is special and they have thought of everything, even up to the carrying handles and wheels on the back to ensure ease of manoeuvreability when placing in kitchen....

Handle indents on both sides of doors to enable either side opening does detract from overall appearance, but is only a minor point.

It is really well built. None of the flimsy drawers and fittings one usually finds in fridges. It is very quiet. The controls are simple and keep the temperatures inside constant. We also like the door handles/catches and the alarm that sounds if the...

Overall this fridge freezer is excellent, a little noisy, but not over so and you soon get used to it., compartment space is excellent on both the fridge and freezer areas, well thought out, a real treat
