The blah interface may disappoint some users, but on the whole, Sony's noise-canceling Walkman NWZ-S738F sounds great.

Sharp, bright screen. Built-in noise cancellation. Bundled earphones and EQ combine for an excellent audio experience.

Nonintuitive user interface is not as graceful as the competition's. Expensive compared with similar-capacity players.

The Sony S-Series Walkman is nicely designed and has a high-quality feel; it offers a load of cool extras such as integrated noise-canceling, an FM tuner, podcast support, and a smart playlist creator. The display is bright and crisp, and the interface...

The S-Series Walkman maxes out at 8GB and doesn't include memory expansion. The packaged earbuds, which are necessary for the noise-cancellation feature, may not be comfortable for all users. There's no voice recording option.

Thanks to excellent sound quality, integrated noise-canceling functionality, and several smart music sorting options, the Sony S-Series Walkman is a superb choice for music aficionados.

An excellent player equipped with noise-cancelling and a wealth of customisation options, the S738 is poised to take on the iPod Nano.

Built-in noise cancellation. Dedicated volume keys. Great sound. Fast, logically arranged menus. Heaps and heaps of tweaking options.

Nav key is a bit small. SensMe is no Genius. Noise cancellation reduces battery life.

An excellent player with meaty sound. If you're a bit over the whole iPod thing, this is a very good alternative to the Nano.
